    Customer Reviews:
    Improvement from previous Sims games
A humorous edge, great locations to visit, and a better story mode. Improved graphics from the previous Sims games for PS2. Awesome direct control/godmode toggle. More interactive objects through third person mode (and cooking, socializing, etc) Not bad in general.

Some issues: AI still seriously lacking. Doors getting blocked so sims refuse to move or walk through. Sims taking the longest possible distance to walk to an object. Often difficult to simply interact with other sims. Minor problems in interface such as having to pause the game and scroll through a bunch of sims to figure out what their relationships are. Pausing the game every time you need to know which skill to improve to advance in your career. Could have made it a little more user-friendly.

Overall, a lot of improvement and depth added. Recommended if you are a Sims fan.

    Two good different games
Compared to many persons, I was introduced to The Sims platform before PC. I did play The Sims 1 and had bought The Sims 2 for game cube and ps2 last year. Not too long ago I bought The Sims 2 deluxe PC to see why everybody was giving such a bad review to this game on ps2. so I make this thing clear,

EVERYONE, THE SIMS PS2 IS NOT THE SIMS PC.

Everyone should review this game as a separate game and not compare!!!!

Both are really good games! Here are the differences. But first of all i d like to say that the sims 2 ps2 freezes too much compared to the game cube which i really recommend…that s why im a bit disappointed in ps2

    THE SIMS 2 PLATFORM:

I love this game!!! It is different to The Sims 1 if you ever played it. It doesn’t work by stages like the first one and you don’t have kids. What I love about this one is that you can control your Sim in 2 modes: the direct mode (which is controlling it with the joy sticks) or the “you just select which ever action you want” for your Sim to do!

The goal of this game is different. You have to help all the Sims you meet so you can get aspiration points to unlock clothes, objects etc. But not only that! by helping them you will obtain some platinum or gold goals that you will have to accomplish to unlock a new location. I love the fact that in that Sim we finally could move around and go back and foward in the game and get to play many Sims depending the new house… You will meet so many weird Sims you wont even believe it! Since I never had played on PC and had played on the Sims 1 on ps2 before it was a big plus to my interest in the game.

I also like that depending on the fridge you buy, you have different types of food and can make or even create a bunch of new recipes with some effects that could actually help you socializing: Being perfect in some kind of way, in love, boost of energy or even vomit! To finish the game well, since there is no expansion like PC, its better for you to finish everything at 100% like: mastering all your skills, get promoted to final stage of all careers in the game, help all the Sims you need, etc.The way the houses are built is cool two. they are only one floor but it s totally fine that way. I also prefer the camera and angles of The Sims 2 PS2. Its easier to control, you see much better and faster. The walls of any house are semi transparent so you always see well and whatever you need to see…

Any one that cannot afford a PC or just doesn’t have enough space for the Sims 2 PC will just love it! coz i did….

    THE SIMS 2 PC

I bought this one not too long ago because I saw so many good things about it and I needed to try it. I love the fact that you have soooo many options to customize your sim! Faces, colors, clothes and especially your turn on and off!! it was really great! You choose your house, buy whatever you need even a car if you have too! An amazing thing I was actually surprised to see is how many socializing option there was! it was so great! it took me a while to adapt myself to the camera s angles, and the way you control your Sim and bla bla bla since I had it easy on my PS2 control! what gave me a big kick is the little shopping mall!!! also the grocery store! and a bunch of funny things that other sims do when they are mad at you! like having a bad date…coz in there you can actually go out on a date! or when they get jealous. I find the houses small compare to ps2 that has them all nice and spacious but i guess in PC you just have to customize them at your taste. PC is totally another level of Sims. If you are a Sims addict go for PC…There you will fall in love, get married, have kids, put some expansion Sims and more expansions and more and more to fulfill your Sims needs and yours loll… So i suggest you to simply buy them at EB GAMES or anywhere else used so you dont have to spend like 30$ here and 20$ there when you could pay like 6$ used at EB GAMES and in really good condition.

Sims 2 PC doesn’t have any goals like Sims 2 PS2… In PC you create a life style, you get old and you die to see your children live and have grand children etc…You create little movies, learn how to adapt your Sims to the everyday life that we actually live but this time, you can actually create a life that maybe you had always dreamed about but somehow didnt get there or simply having fun building an non existing life…

I hope the review helped you and wait to see my new one once i receive the Sims castaway on ps2…I’m waiting for it any minutes now!!!

    Addictive and Very Fun!
This game is totally addictive. If you have time to kill, play it. You will be so wrapped up in getting tasks done on there that you will literally forget about real life. It’s nice to forget about things for a hour or so and play a carefree, non-competitive game.

    Great game!!!
This game is fun to play on the PS2,i bought it for my daughter and she loves it.

    Fun for awhile…
This game was fun for little while until the more I played it the more I realized their wasn’t much to do. Sims 2 is better played on the PC version on the computer. Sims wasn’t made for the PlayStation 2. You can’t build big houses because of the fire code; you build your house to big with alot of stuff inside it could catch on fire. One thing I loved most about the Sims is the ability to create my dream house, and I can’t do that with the PlayStation 2 version. This game should just stick with computers and not game consoles.
