Customer Reviews: Surprisingly good! I was rather surprised when I began playing this game. The graphics are good for a sports PS3 game, and the music is excellent. Gameplay is easy to learn, regardless of any age or skill. Lots of replay value as you can unlock different players and teams. You can also play online against people from all over the world; this was a humbling experience. It is defintely a solid street ball game for the ps3.
Rehash of the NBA games When I played this game the first thing that jumped out at me is the obvious fact that EA engineers have rehashed their NBA game engine to create this. The behavior of the players, their positioning, court sizes - everything looks like they belong in a basketball game, not soccer. To this they have added some fancy footwork and a goal instead of a basket. To beat the computer is ridiculously easy - if you stop showboating and play soccer the way it is played - with proper passing and shooting.
Sorry - I’ll take PES and it’s variations every time.
TWEENER I didn’t go into FIFA Street 3 with very high expectations. In fact, I’ve been burned by EA BIG before. But believe it or not, this game was just plain fun from the jump. You really can just sit down, turn it on, and just start playing. Combine that with my very casual understanding of the international soccer scene, and the fact that this game remained fun and enjoyable speaks volumes for it’s replay value and staying power in anyones game library.
STAND-ALONE: I really felt like I could have just played match after match until my eyes turned to dust. The controls are easy to learn and adjust to, and the competition stays challenging without becoming impossibly difficult to overcome.
MULTI-PLAYER: Well, what can I say…the opportunity to set up a match online between America and Germany that actually involves someone from AMERICA and GERMANY just has a coolness factor all it’s own.
Definite rent-to-own title. Don’t miss out on an opportunity to play one of the best straight-outta-da-box games so far this year. Instant fun!
